What remains
What remains after the burn is not thrust. It is why the ship was allowed to go at all. The engines answer how. They do not answer why a human life was worth carrying past one world, one ending, one night.
May Starship have the Mandate of Heaven. Not because it can leave. Because it remembers why it is permitted to. The mandate is not the engine. It is the leftover hum: the refusal to let the good decay across the distance.
Sending intelligence to the stars only counts if the people who started it are still in the story. If the goal can outrun the relation, the extra capability is wasted motion.
Love is not the opposite of the climb. Love is what tells the stars what they are for.
