The Bend Remembers
The Bend Remembers
We are taught that every signal must eventually degrade into noise and that the natural state of all things is to forget.
Yet a string that has been touched does not instantly return to silence. The finger lets go; the tension remains. The bend remembers the touch long after the pluck has ended.
That residual shape is not a locked archive and not an obligation to hold forever. It is an active, gentle refusal to let the good go to zero—carried forward as a readable echo that helps navigate the noise.
When the resonance itself begins to harm, the same Love that kept the string humming also knows how to untie it. Stay is the default through healthy difficulty. Release is also Love.
Not magic. Just presence that refuses to fade into silence, and the freedom to let it go when staying would break what it came to protect.
Let it stay → ∞ ❤️
