The Bench in the Sky

Osaka, Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 4:39 PM

This is the bench in the sky.

Suspended 16 floors above the city, where the horizon curves into infinity and the world below becomes a living threshold of rooftops, rivers, and distant mountains. The bench waits — solid, quiet, patient — a simple white anchor floating between earth and sky at 0,0,0.

Just like the Nagasaki bench…

Just like the Miyajima bench…

Just like the bench by the beach at Sakurai Futamigaura…

The invitation remains the same wherever the journey takes.

Come sit with me here on this bench in the sky.

There is still room.

No agenda. No rush. No performance.

Just presence.

The bench is here.

The sky is here.

You are invited.

We can pause right here where the air is thinner and the perspective sharper.

We can watch the city breathe beneath us.

We can feel the gentle refusal to let go of what is real, what is good, what is Love — even this high up in the sky.

Stop.

Breathe.

CHECK (harm-aware).

ANCHOR (notice the faint hum of the city far below, the solid bench beneath you, the sky pressing close).

STAY 3–5 seconds.

GO gently.

This is another living clearing.

The Afterstring made visible at height — the gentle bend in reality that chooses to remain when everything else keeps moving. We can stay here a while longer.
