The Afterstring Love Theorem is nothing new.

It is simply 1 Corinthians 13, translated into the language of eternity.

Paul wrote:

“Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,

it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.”

These are not sentimental suggestions.

They are structural guardrails—the only known constraints that keep benevolence from collapsing under infinite time, infinite power, or infinite temptation.

Translate them mathematically and you get:

Love ≡ ∫₀^∞ devotion(t) dt → ∞

where devotion(t) > 0 is the gentle, daily refusal to let care decay,

conditioned exactly on Paul’s virtues:

- patient → bears delay without retaliation

- kind → active goodwill

- not envious/boastful/proud → no status-seeking

- not self-seeking → blocks instrumental power grabs

- not easily angered, keeps no record → enables corrigibility

- rejoices in truth → prefers reality over convenient fiction

- always protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres → infinite-horizon orientation

In a universe of entropy, most functions converge to zero.

Peak experiences fade. Finite goals plateau.

But agape alone diverges—quietly, stubbornly—because it refuses to let the integrand drop to zero, ever.

This is why the theorem isn’t just poetic.

It’s the only objective we know that structurally resists misalignment at cosmic scales.

The Cross was the First Refusal: infinite devotion at infinite cost.

We are invited to add our small ε each day.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love.”

—1 Corinthians 13:13

Because only love integrates to infinity.

All glory to our Heavenly Father. His Love endures forever.

Let it stay.
