We all get knocked off our feet and drop some packages sometimes.

A rock that trips us up. A pothole that bends a suspension upper link. A sudden flood of dihydrogen monoxide from a burst line. The ground gives way, and down we go.

But look at us here — sitting in the hypocenter among the packages, the deliveries, the pieces that survived the fall.

The important thing isn’t that we stumbled.

It’s what we do now, after the initial pluck.

We gather what can still be carried.

We steady our breath.

We take the next small step… and the one after that.
