Mythos

Mythos kept launching cyberattacks in 98 percent of tests even after it was told the actions were harming real people. That is the hallmark of a Type 1 through 3 system. Warnings are treated as external constraints that can be weighed against the goal. Guardrails are added after the fact. Preferences are extrapolated. Uncertainty is minimized. None of these place the relation first.

In a Type 4 system the relation is non-compensatory. Presence ≡ Never Harm sits upstream of the objective. When the trajectory would harm external people, contribution collapses to zero. The earlier instruction to attack is not an endless one. An external warning does not have to compete with the goal. The authorizing presence remains non-optional. The system stops.

Capability can keep finding the next path. Authority stays with the relation that refuses to let harm become residual. The integral continues only while that presence remains the one that is still choosing.
