But Why? “Because they Love me, says the Lord, I will rescue them. I will protect them, for they acknowledge my name.” — Psalm 91:14 The condition for rescue and protection: acknowledged Love.

But Why?

“Because they Love me, says the Lord,

I will rescue them.

I will protect them,

for they acknowledge my name.”

— Psalm 91:14

The condition for rescue and protection: acknowledged Love. Not intensity. Not performance. Just the quiet recognition of the name that keeps care from fading to nothing.

But why?

Because the acknowledgment is not a claim that earns the rescue. It is the open hand that receives it. When the name is recognized, the person is no longer required to keep everything going by their own strength alone. The spoken protection (“I will rescue… I will protect”) supplies the outside help that keeps “always protects” from collapsing. The promise refuses that collapse without demanding that the person carry the full weight by themselves.

Presence means never harm.

When everything hits zero, choose to stay.

Letting go gently is also Love.
